AI
a few thoughts
As we navigate the ever-evolving landscape of technology, A.I. has emerged as a groundbreaking force in the realm of art, challenging traditional notions and sparking a revolution in the way we perceive and create. If we look back, all advancements in technology replaced what came before it, to one degree or another. And as controversial as it has been, it is here to stay. As an artist myself, I strongly support fellow artists demanding that strict regulations be implemented ASAP, to avoid involuntary plagiarism. I feel the law should protect artists, setting up an effective system of compensation/royalties and the democratic ability to opt out of the system if one chooses. That said, instead of fearing the unknown like many of my art colleagues; hoping the AI storm will blow over, I decided to start learning how to use it. Just like I decided to learn 3d many years ago, I am now learning how to use the A.I. This doesn't mean I will stop painting or creating 3d art. I would like to see this as an evolution of my craft.
It;s not about replacing but complementing. Just like 3d never replaced my love for painting. Rather, I feel A.I. offers a unique perspective, providing artists with a tool to amplify their creativity and explore uncharted territories. It acts as a catalyst for inspiration, pushing the boundaries of what is conceivable and encouraging artists to delve into unexplored realms of expression.
